I had a lot of fun photographing this wedding photo journalistically. You don’t often experience many fun and crazy venues at one wedding. From getting ready in front of the house in the movie The Castle to a basketball match in the Melbourne laneways, a rustic music location (Bakehouse Studios), and a fantastic 8-piece band, all creating the perfect wedding atmosphere. The ideal place for candid wedding photography!
Wedding photos at Castle House Melbourne Airport (Essendon)
The bride was getting dressed near Essendon Airport, near the house from the Australian film “The Castle.” It was the last chance to see the original house next to Essendon Airport’s fence. We had to walk down the road to take some quick photos.
Wedding photography Melbourne: candid wedding photos
The couple first met in a funky laneway in Melbourne. The bridal team and I had a coffee at Long Street Cafe, Richmond. We also played basketball with each other. There were many opportunities to take candid photos and have a lot of fun. I don’t know if it was the girls or boys, but they all had fun. It’s easy to take photos in a relaxed wedding atmosphere without posing or directing anyone.
Bakehouse Studios in Richmond, Candid Wedding Photography
Just a few meters away, the Bakehouse Studios was where we held our ceremony and event. This is a beautiful venue! There is a lot of atmosphere and many opportunities to take candid photos. The stage and platform are upstairs, but the entrance area, along with all the plant pots, provides a stunning view. The stage lights, an 8-piece band (Horns Of Leroy), the singing (wow… gave me goosebumps), dancing, and excellent catering all combined to make a great night.
Wedding photography that is relaxed and fun
Enjoy the photos. The blog is always hard to choose the best wedding photos as you can only show some of them.
