Prajacta tells us the story of her wedding day of how she tied the knot in the beautiful details at Embassy Landmark San Antonio in December 2021 with her beloved spouse, Amit. Amit and Prajacta’s Hindu marriage ceremony is a picture of elegance and now we’re eager to tell the tale of their stunning union with you, our dear readers.
What was the first time you met your companion have met?
We met in Seattle WA in 2017 on Coffee Meets Bagel. I was a graduate student and I was serving in the Navy at the time. We dated for three years prior to his proposal in 2020. We were wed in the month of December, 2021.
What were you and your spouse’s top priorities in the planning of your wedding?
My main goal for the wedding was keeping within the budget. I was involved in a lot of planning and searching for vendors. Amit’s primary concern was maintaining an unrestricted guest list.
Let us know about your top bridal details as well as how you came up with the idea.
The most memorable wedding detail would be the entrances to our wedding reception and ceremony. In the wedding ceremony, we collaborated with our priest to create an appropriate order for entrances to accommodate who would be coming in and at what time. Our sister and me collaborated to select the appropriate songs for each entrance. At the reception we collaborated with our wedding guests and families and let them pick the songs they would use for their entrance.
What was your most memorable moment at your wedding?
Our most memorable part of the wedding would be our unplanned first look. We ran into one another during the ride on our journey to the first look location. It was a very adorable and hilarious moment, and one that was an amazing surprise. Another memorable moment was watching all of our siblings (his brother and sister, and my sister and brother) to toast the reception. the reception. It was a pleasant surprise to us both, and we enjoyed the moment.
If you had the option to change something concerning the wedding day(s) What would you make the most of?
The hotel was a mess and offered me a room that was far from my bridal party. We requested rooms with a shared bathroom for both of us, so that we could all dress together. This is why I was pretty much on my own when I was getting ready while my sister and her friends were having fun getting ready.
What would you like to know that you knew prior to beginning planning your wedding?
I wish I had realized how diverse the prices can vary for photographer. I received quotations from a variety of sources I was unsure whether I was paying too much due to the fact that this was an Indian wedding or whether the quality of the photographs would suffer in the event we hired an unprofessional photographer. Photography was the most difficult vendor to find due to this disparity.
What advice would you offer to couples who are entering the wedding time of planning?
My suggestion is to start as soon as you can, especially when you don’t have the services of a wedding planner. Another piece of advice is this the fact that planning a wedding could be completed without the help of a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. It’s just a matter of planning backwards and time. I’m sure most brides think that you require an event organizer for Desi weddings however I’m here to suggest that you can do it without one, particularly when it’s not in the budget of your.
