Two million weddings were held in 2023, meaning the photographers were tasked with a lot of work to the brim. They were there for couples at everything from backyard weddings and courthouse nuptials to extravagant destination weddings and elegant black-tie reception photographers were present to capture every emotion-filled, joyful moment. Through a blend of intuition and artistic flair, the photographers made tangible memories that newlyweds will treasure for the rest of their lives.
As this year draws to an end and we’re delighted to announce our Top Photographers of 2022. Our editorial team analyzed the overall portfolios of professionals who have submitted photographs of real weddings. They were also referred to by clients and colleagues. The process of narrowing down our list to just 50 pros from the countless others who design and create breathtaking weddings was not a simple task. It’s an honor to all of the great work that is happening in the field currently.

The photography style:“After over 10 years We know for certain when to take a step forward and lead or to relax and let things unfold. But, we recognize that creating effortlessly professional photos requires a significant amount of effort and planning from our side.”
I work in weddings because:“Unlike ‘traditional’ wedding photography, there’s no formal or paint-by-numbers in our process or the photos. We instead, take use each individual couple are our own inspiration, and allow their story to inform our decisions on every step.”
Adonye Jaja Photography
Adonye Jaja is born in Nigeria. He is an American who lives in Colorado’s mountains. Colorado. He began taking wedding photos in 2009. “This life has so much to offer and weddings are unique nexus where we are able to experience so much of life in one day,” Jaja says. Jaja. “The wonder of life is often expressed at weddings, and it’s become my pursuit to keep my eyes open to see it and share it with a picture.”
The Style of Photography:“Style has always been an issue to answer for me. I started my journey as a photographer by helping another photographer during weddings. I realized very quickly that a professional wedding photographer needs to be able to switch between any style of photography at the flick of a hat. Therefore, I define my style as “your style and every wedding assignment I do are different depending on the conversation with my clients. This is still filtered by my own eyes; however, it keeps my work fresh. Each wedding is a unique photography assignment. It’s not clear what we’ll come up with before the wedding. It’s all about faith, excitement as well as love, and an openness to allow an artistic process that unfolds. In terms of technique, I utilize both digital and film cameras. Both have strengths, and I will use one or one when the situation requires it.”
I work in weddings because:“It’s a world that lets me speak an language that’s still as vital. It’s a world in which I’m more me then I’ve ever. I work in weddings because I have to.”
Allan Zepeda Photography
Allan Zepeda has been shooting for more than 17 years private weddings and other events all over the world. Zepeda believes it’s a privilege to witness and document the reunion of two families, as well as the celebrations and emotions that take place during this important event. Zepeda is an expert at capturing genuine feelings and happy moments – the ones which clients aren’t aware of how to ask for and that other photographers miss. He captures weddings with a journalistic eye without causing disruption to the couple or removing them from the wedding day.
The Style of Photography:“My style has been described as natural, timeless romantic, and elegant with a subtle elegant. I’m constantly using the combination of digital and film. I am constantly challenged to experiment with new techniques and equipment to capture the perfect shot and yet maintaining my unified appearance and feel.”

Amy Anaiz is an Afro-Latina, who is proud to lead a multicultural female team. Anaiz is a quaint wedding photographer who is based on the streets of New York City. Her career began in the public relations industry as a talent agency; she is able to approach weddings from a journalistic viewpoint.

I’m focused on building relationships to my subjects as well as capturing the emotion and individuality of each person I work with, while using stunning, flattering lighting while paying close attention to the smallest of details, and making sure the photos are clear and crisp.”
