The soap patriarch Eric Forrester, played by John McCook, gestures at the television and asks: “Will this be turned around?” “I have to see it!”
The Bold and the Beautiful’s first episode aired March 23, 1987. This fashion-focused daytime soap has aired more than 8500 times since 1987. Since then, the viewers have been pointing at their televisions, wanting to watch it.
Bold is the youngest daytime American soap opera. General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and Bold, the sister show of Bold, have been airing since 1963.
Bold and the Beautiful is still a huge success. In the heyday, 1970s-1990s, between 12 and fifteen soap operas were on air. The proliferation of entertainment options, the rise in reality TV, and streaming has led to a decline of soap operas. Passions, a US soap created in 1999 that lasted for ten years, was the last new US soap.

The four soap operas that remain have managed to survive a television environment which is becoming increasingly hostile towards the genre – something Australian viewers are very familiar with, given the recent death of Neighbours.
The Bold and the Beautiful, for those who are unfamiliar, is set in Los Angeles and revolves around the lives, loves, and fashion shows of the Forrester Logan and Spencer families.
The Bold and the Beautiful has been a popular show in Australia. In fact, to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2017, The Bold and the Beautiful filmed Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), their third marriage before the Sydney Opera House. The show is broadcast every weekday at 4:30pm by Channel 10.

Since was first released, I have been a Bold viewer. It has had many crazy, bizarre and wonderful stories over its 35-year history.
This is a collection of my favorites.
Honey Bear (2008 movie)
Stephanie (Susan Flannery), the matriarch of the Forrester clan and Eric Forrester’s ex-wife, was not pleased with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).
Stephanie’s sister Pam, played by Ally Mills, decided to remove Donna from the equation using the most metaphorical but not the most reliable method. She followed Donna to a remote lodge, tied her to a seat, covered her in honey, and set a grizzly on her.
Pam and Donna became uneasy friends and co-receptionists at Forrester Creations after Donna failed to succeed.
Man and horse (2009, a)
The most famous love triangle in Bold is the one between Ridge Forrester, Ronn Moss/Thorsten Kae, Taylor (Hunter Tylo/Krista Alen), and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Ridge Forrester has married both women several times. However, the most famous wedding is one that was a failure.
Brooke, who was furiouding on horseback to the wedding in an attempt to stop it, burst into the scene at the last minute. The celebrant declsly riared Ridge and Taylor to be “man and horse.”
